Website Redesign
Redesigning and rethinking the structure of a website.

SiriusXM wanted a redesign for their website. Following a desire to launch a rebrand, they wanted their website to reflect that rebrand and to establish a new design system with brand new components. This included the whole gamut, from marketing landing pages to subscription pages to areas where users explored content. I worked with visual designers, product managers, and fellow UX designers.

User Journeys

Mapping users mindsets and goals.

We created user journeys to help us and SiriusXM understand why and how users were coming to the site. Using some personas that our strategy team gathered at the beginning of the project, we created mental models of our personas' goals and mindsets as they were navigating through the site.

Content Strategy
Creating Strategic Zones

Storytelling throughout the site.

Our content strategist advocated for creating zones for each page, and that different types of information would exist within these zones. The thought was that different information needed to surface at different moments of the site. The UX team was charged with using this overall idea of zones to determine what went into each page. We advocated that on content heavy pages, the content would shine, giving users a reason to convert to being a subscriber or dive straight into their content from their app or through the website. On pages where plans and subscriptions were discussed, the content would be limited but still present as this was part of SiriusXM's moments.

Design

Creating a sound foundation with flexible content.

We created templates for each of the different types of pages, such as the marketing landing pages, so that our clients could create new pages based on the template if needed. We also delivered a full set of components with a guide to allow users who were unfamiliar with the components to understand when and how they should use the components.
